Off-site Examination
Off-site university exams are a practical solution for international and exchange students, enabling them to reconcile study and personal life while ensuring academic integrity.
As a Remote Exams Center abroad, the French Institute of Cambodia organizes administered university exams, so that international and
exchange students don't have to return to their home country to sit their exams.
The IFC ensures the security and integrity of the exams, and guarantees exam conditions that meet the requirements of partner universities,
wherever they are located. IFC is committed to coordinating different time zones and academic calendars.
IFC is responsible for local logistics, including welcoming students, distributing exams papers, and collecting them to send back to the
home university for correction.
The benefits
- Flexibility: Students can take their exams without interrupting their professional or personal activities.
- Accessibility: Students living in remote areas can take university exams without having to travel long distances.
- Globalization: Promotes international student mobility by facilitating study abroad.
Examples of student profiles
- Students living abroad: Students enrolled in distance-learning programs and living in Cambodia can apply to sit the oral and written exams at IFC.
- Double-degree programs: Students enrolled in double-degree programs between two universities in different countries can take their exams at either of the partner institutions.
- Exchange students: Students taking part in exchange programs such as Erasmus can take their exams in their country of temporary residence.
The process in 3 steps
1. Drawing up a partnership agreement
Contact the Institute's certifications department as soon as possible to express your request. The IFC will then contact your university to draw up a partnership agreement and define the examination procedures.
2. Coordinating an exam session
The administrative departments of the home university and the IFC work together to ensure that examinations are administered in a secure and standardized way.
3. Organizing the exams
On the day of the exams, invigilators supervise the progress of the papers to prevent any form of cheating. In the case of a written exam, the paper is scanned and emailed to the university immediately after the test. The examination center is not responsible for forwarding results to candidates.
Fees: The IFC reserves the right to charge fees for administrative management and examination supervision. An
estimate will be provided on request, depending on the number of hours of examination. For all inquiries, please write to: certifications@ifcambodge.com
